If you don’t like the idea of daily commute to school, you can even help the students while staying at the home. The place has many classrooms, a music room and a computer room where you can teach the kids. During the school months, the students come to Peetim Homestay every Saturday and Sunday to learn. Furthermore, during April and October (vacation months) the kids are here every day from Monday to Friday. On the weekends you can teach poor kids who cannot afford education as well as young monks!
Volunteering at the homestay itself is also a good option during school months if you want to travel around more than teach as during the school months, the children come only on the weekends. There are plenty of local activities that can keep you busy for the entire week.
